the sweetest thing b/w somebody else's arms - 1973

The group released one single, the Carl Davis produced, 'The Sweetest Thing' b/w ’Someone Else’s Arm’s’ for the Dakar Records imprint.

'The Sweetest Thing' became a hit on the U.K. Northern Soul scene.

Leonard Mitchell was a member of the Doo-Wop group, the Ideals, before joining this group, bringing The Ideals guitarist, Larry Blaiengaine along with him.

After Channel 3 disbanded, Leonard left the music business, converting to a sanctified religious faith.

The Eugene Record/Barbara Acklin penned ballad ’Somebody’s Elses Arms’ was featured on a Kent Records compilation entitled ‘More Perfect Harmony-Sweet Soul Groups 1967-1975’.

The track was also, originally, recorded by Barbara Acklin in 1970.
